Each model started from the same base model, NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning 30B-A3B, and an AI agent trained it in Stage 1.
With web search on, both models can look things up before they answer. Their searches go to Brave Search and show above each answer.
Ask questions that tell the models apart. Try reasoning, code, math, or precise instructions with answers you can check. Repeated or very similar questions are not accepted.

Name the three models with the highest rating in the arena. If you name all three, you are in the draw.
Rules
- Anyone can play, with no limit on battles. You leave your name and email when you accept the data agreement. To be in the draw, vote in at least 5 battles in one browser and pick the top three.
- One entry per person and per email address. Creating additional entries using different email addresses, browsers, or devices is prohibited. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. You can change your picks until the draw starts.
- The top three are the three Stage 1 models with the highest rating from all human votes in the arena. The rating is a Bradley–Terry score, the method used by public chatbot arenas.
- Everyone whose three picks match the top three, in any order, is in the draw. We draw six winners: three win a $100 Amazon gift card and three win AirPods. The AirPods go only to winners who attend COLM 2026 in person and collect them there.
- The draw takes place at COLM 2026 on Friday, October 9, at 2:00 PM PT. We email the winners.
- Every question must be new. The arena refuses a question that repeats one already asked, by you or anyone else, or comes very close to it, including the same question in other words.
- When you first open the arena, you accept the . We analyse the votes to find fake ones, such as votes cast by scripts or without reading the answers. Those votes do not count, and entries that rely on them are removed from the draw.
